  This is an image of almond skin. Impurities and dark specks  can be seen in the mainly golden skin. The almond was found 5/30/19 at 11:40 AM in a pack of almonds from trader joe’s. The sample was obtained by soaking the almond in water to make the skin easier to peel off. Once it was sufficiently wet, it was peeled and put under the foldscope. #caltechbi1
