Schefflera Aboricola plant before being sampled from. Sample (whole leaf) was obtained outside Ricketts Hovse at Caltech (1200 E. California Blvd, Pasadena, CA) at 7:45pm PST. The leaf was plucked from its stem and was analyzed.
Leaf from Schefflera Aboricola plant under foldscope magnification; there are white veins running throughout the leaf and the leaf itself is green (due to chlorophyll pigment) intermediate with the veins. The leaf is mostly opaque.
