This purple flower petal found above, likely verbena bonariensis, was collected from behind Bechtel (California Institute of Technology) at around 7:30 pm on May 31st, 2019. The sample was retrieved from an area containing multiple flowers of the same type. It was picked from its stem. #caltechbi1
