This photo depicts the tip of a hisbiscus anther. You can kind of make out pollen grains stuck to the end of it. The sample was obtained from a hibiscus plant outside of Caltech’s Page House at around 3am on Friday, May 31st. An anther was plucked from the plant and placed on a slide, covered with a cover slip, and viewed through a Foldscope. A phone flashlight was used as an external lightsource. #caltechbi1
