Pollen from Small Purple Flower
Small Purple Flower Here is a close-up of the pollen from one of the small
purple flowers that are dispersed around Avery Courtyard. The sample was
obtained in Avery Courtyard Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 PM. The pollen was taken
from the stamen of the flower, rubbed onto the glass slide, taped on, and
covered with a coverslip. The pollen seems to be all clumped together but are
also grainy and relatively small. #caltechbi1
