Close-up of stamen from Spiky Leaves on Tree in Avery Courtyard
Spiky Leaves on Tree in Avery Courtyard Here is a close-up of the stamen from the spiky leaves on the tree in Avery Courtyard. The sample was obtained in Avery Courtyard Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 PM. The stamen was picked from the plant, placed on the glass slide, taped over, and covered with a coverslip. We notice that the stamen is translucent and has curved edges with pollen on it. #caltechbi1
