Zoospores from green algae
I went few days ago to the calanques (in Marseille, France) where I have collected green algae. While looking at them under my foldscope, I realized that these algae were releasing zoospores (highly motile spores, asexual reproduction) from their zoosporangia (transparent chambers in the video). It truly was a magic moment! I hope you will enjoy it too!
