Saliva is an extracellular fluid produced & secreted by salivary glands in d mouth.In human, saliva is 99.5%water plus electrolytes,mucus ,white blood cells, epithelial cells, enzymes, antimicrobial agents such as secretory IgA & lysozyme.
The digestive functions of saliva include moistening food , & helping to create a food bolus, so it can be swallowed easily.
Today I observed ,human saliva without staining under d foldscope ….
