In Bethesda Maryland, along the columns that grace the main atrium of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute headquartes, climbs a green vine decorated by violet flowers. We took one of the flowers and proceeded to remove the pistil to observe in the Foldscope. This is my first, and quite likely not the last observation I will be making with this instrument.
