Hello – nothing looks melted or anything, but then again I don’t know what exactly it looked like before it stopped working. I replaced the battery, but still no light. It worked fine for a week of work, and was lit the last time we used it in our middle school science classes. Have been just fine shooting pics with the iPad and natural light w/high and low mag, no LED/condenser. See my recent onion skin post for results. Thanks for offering to help find a fix! No rush – the kids will be trying the natural light setup with both lenses this week. Sorry for the poor close focus on the camera. My best, Kate Honan
