Question of the day: What do you do with a fish that goes belly up?

Answer of a 6-year-old: Look at the fish under a foldscope, of course!

How did you do that? We put the fish in a baggie, and then put the baggie under the foldscope.

What kind of fish did you examine? A freshwater fish called a lemon tetra. Her name was Tinkerbell, and she was about an inch and a half long.

What did you see? I saw an organ, the eye, fins, and color within the fish scales. It was interesting that you could not see the color of the fish to the naked eye in the same way as you saw it under the foldscope: it looked like when we tested printing samples and saw dots .
