  I found a wasp that had molten its outer shell or died leaving simply it’s skin, which ever is more likely to happen. I decided to cut part of it up, and examine it. I found that some areas are more dense than others, and even though it looks very lace-like under the foldscope, when examined macroscopically, the texture is pretty crisp.
