This is a short clip from my explorations with the bayland sludge liquid sample brought to class by the instructors. This sample, despite its pungent sample, led to some interesting observations with the foldscope. There were some organisms (possibly an amoeba, or a paramecium) that moved rapidly throughout the foldscope screen. The fact that I utilized the “sandwich” technique with my coverslip allowed me to observe a living and moving sample. Overall, a very entertaining experience, I hope everyone enjoys this video and pictures!
