For my very first Foldscope posting, I decided to examine a piece of my very curly hair! So much of it comes out on my brush (yikes) that I thought I’d take a strand and see what it really looks like up close. I initially had trouble seeing it in the Foldscope, but with some rearranging and multiple attempts, it worked out! It essentially looks like a tube with many wrinkles/flakes along the surface. Unfortunately, I couldn’t figure out how to take a picture with my cellphone, so below is my best rendition by pencil! Enjoy 🙂
