I was sitting in the courtyard of my dorm doing homework and I noticed some of the first flower blossoms of the year. I picked one of the flowers off the tree in the afternoon of February 9, 2018 and immediately took it to my foldscope. I prepared the slide by cutting a small piece of the petal off and putting it on a slide with a wet mount. I do not know what type of flower it is, but the cells have a cool combination of purple and green color. The cells were pretty small and had some clear air pockets, which are somewhat hard to see in the photo (sorry the photo is so blurry – my phone was repelling the magnet in the foldscope!).
