Ok so I wast useing my scooter and accidentally cut of a lizard tail with my scooter. After that I quickly rushed inside, dissected it and took a scale.
So the scale has what looks like a fish but is really a sturdy piece of cartilage that lets the scale keep its shape. The scale also had tons of veins that supply the cartilage with fluids to keep it firm and be protective. The scale also has multiple folds on it, so instead of just one sheet over the body its multiple sheets that over lap to make it stronger.
