Bacteria were isolated from soil collected from the nearby field. A known weight of soil sample was diluted in distilled water and the standard protocol was followed for pure culture isolation.
The obtained pure culture was diluted with sterile water and gram staining was done using the diluted sample.
After gram staining, the slide was observed under foldscope and violet coloured rod shape cells were found.
