Why is my mom so scared of praying mantises?????

My mom is afraid of praying mantises. Why? Is it their head? When you look at their head it is shaped like a triangle with its eyes on one point and the mouth in the other. that is amazing that God could could create such a marvelous being!! Is she afraid of their legs? Their legs are very strong. They have the ability to climb walls and walk upside down. Their legs have a bone like structure running through them that is why they are so strait.
