It was a great day @GGDSD College, Chandigarh (India). The students were apprised of the contributions of Sir Antony Van Leeuwenhoek – the famous Dutch microscopist, who observed the bacteria and protozoa under a simple microscope invented by him. An owner of textile business and without any formal education in science, it is a great wonder that he invented lenses that could magnify the objects to an utmost clarity. Whether to call him a Microscopist or a Microbiologist, but his invention opened a totally new world of micro-organisms which could not be studied with the naked eye.

The interactive talk was followed by hands on training on foldscope for the beginners. As the students were peeping through the foldscope with curiosity, I could see that exploring nature and life has no limits and boundaries. It is a passion which can be there at any age.
