Pollen grains of Rosa roxburghii (chestnut rose) by Aarti Mehra, SNMS, Delhi
A rose is a woody perennial flowering plant of genus Rosa in family Rosaceae. They are dicot plants and have pentamerous flowers, The pollen grain consists of resistant outer layer, exine which is characterized by several apertures. These apertures are the characteristics features in species and genus identification.
