Popularization of Foldscope as a tool for understanding the beauty of nature was the objective to organize one day awareness workshop for the School students from 5-12 th std. The students were guided for the basics of microscopy, parts of microscope and its use to observe the slides. The curiosity of the students was increased by showing some videos of “life in a water drop” recorded by us. The Foldscope assembly videos by Dr. Prakash and others from Foldscope website were shown to the students. Live specimen slides were prepared in front of the students and told them to visualize it through the Foldscope and photographed ad videographed on android phones. The sessions were conducted in open ground of the school by making a group of 15 students each.
The workshop was conducted by Dr. Tushar Borse (PI); Dr. Mahesh Vedpathak (Co-PI); Project student and Post graduate students of Biotechnology. The team was supported by the Principal and Staff of the School for successful conduction of the workshop
