Xylem vessels of a flower petal. The vessels transport water and nutrients to the petal through capillary action. The water is able to overcome the force of gravity because of its high surface tension and cohesive forces.
With the foldscope you are able to see the smaller vessels that are usually imperceptible to the naked eye.
