I was exited to see stomata of the leaf under the foldscope . These are the pores found in the epidermis of the leaves, stems, and other organs that facilitate gas exchange. They have guard cells that are responsible for regulating the size of stomatal opening.Air enters these openings through gaseous diffusion and contains carbon dioxide and oxygen ,which are used in photosynthesis and respiration ,respectively.
