Fold Scope: Vital Friend for Field Research Survey for pest biocontrolling agent
The Jalgaon , is famous city for high temperature in summers Maharashtra, India is (20.997984°N 75.566711°E.) Maharashtra, India). We observed heavy infestation of Spodoptera caterpillar on neem plant, in the month of October- November 2018, whole Neem (Azadirachta indica) plant population are converted in leafless branches. To find solutions and avoid the future attack on the pesticide-resistant insect on cash crops of Jalgaon. We decided to find some natural controlling agent for the pest. As a primary step of work, We collected some larvae’s, on the field and primarily by using foldscope we observed naturally infected larvae’s and adult. We are able to isolate a naturally biocontrolling fungi which are growing on Spodoptera caterpillar larvae as well as the adult.
