ITEM-FLY WING
DESCRIPTION-Flies belong to an order known as Diptera where ‘Di’ stands for two and ‘Tera’ stands for wings. Flies are generally insects with a pair of wings for flight.The body of a fly is divided into a head, a pair of compound eyes and mouthparts designed for piercing and sucking.Flies are important to the ecosystem as they function as pollinators just like bees.Fruit flies play a major role in research.In a session of foldscope conducted in our college we observed the wing of a fly under the foldscope.
