The color of the hair is due to the presence of two types of melanin- eumelanin and pheomelanin. Some hairs are dark due to the presence of more eumelanin and some hairs are light due to the presence of less eumelanin.
Different samples of hair from class 8 girls were collected and observed under the foldscope and we could observe varying colours of hairs.
