Today in my ecology lab at Princeton University, I picked up a dried leaf from a grassy area by Washington St. and Lewis Library. In the photo above, you can see a picture of a small piece of the dried leaf under the foldscope. What I see is light brown pigmentation where the dried leaf sample is. Although the photo is undoubtedly blurry, it is clear where the dried leaf sample is. It is also interesting to note the somewhat twisted shape of the sample. The background of the photo is gray and has some smudges which might be from dust.
