Since the Foldscope arrive, my 6-year-old has started asking more and more questions. I will post each question as we explore them. I will also document her comments:
Question of 6-year-old: What is in water?
Thoughts: There are drippy marks. It looks like clear see through dough with air bubbles that has been rolled out with a rolling pin. One picture looks like the dividing between water and sand — like what you see at the beach.
Question of 6-year-old: Why can you not exactly see the real things when you looked through the scope? (the H2O)
