 Image of microorganisms taken on April 8th at 4:50 pm. TA obtained the sample from the turtle pond by sticking a falcon tube into the water. How many different organisms are captured in this image? How can we distinguish the sediment particles from the organisms? To answer this question, I would research different types or microorganisms commonly found in ponds and compare them to the image to identify the different objects in the image

 How can flowers differentiate their species’ pollen grains? Are different pollen grains structurally distinct from each other? To answer these questions, I would take samples of multiple different flower species. I would also compare the pollen of related species to see if/how pollen changes during speciation. #caltechbi1
