Many ciliates are known to have fast contractions - due to surface cytoskeleton (fibrous proteins on the cell surface). Beautiful to see a stentor cell - contracting - rapidly. These contractions are some of the fastest surface contractions. A number of cell organelles are clearly visible. Beautiful to see the 3D structure of the cell - since it naturally rotates in front of the cell.
