When I got to learn we'll be observing a pumpkin flower, I was excited just like every other observation we did. But, never in my wildest dreams had I imagined I would love this observation so much.
I was one of the first people to mount their slides because I'm starting to get used to the process. When I first looked through the 50x lens I saw the coffee-bean shaped, slightly roundish pollen.
Then I switched to 140x, upon moving the field of vision around what I saw made me run to the professor in excitement.

I suddenly saw a caterpillar-like creature in the sample. Our professor told me that before she plucked this flower from outside our hostel, their were bees sitting on it. So this may be an organism that the bees were carrying with them, but regardless this was super cool for me.

After this, I decided to take a big step in my micro-organism discovery field and try my hand at dark field microscopy and the results it provided were absolutely beautiful. You can see the pollen and the creature almost in a 3-D view.
