The tomato peel was a rather difficult sample to create because of how moist it was. I was first scared that it would ruin my foldscope and cause fungal growth but at the end it turned out good.
Upon observing we could see polygonal structures joined to each other with reddish pigment.
But the most concerning part came later. While observing the tomato peel and moving my field, what I found was extremely concerning as someone who eats tomatoes a lot.

The Blue thing in the middle is a microplastic. Throughout the years, I've heard of jokes about how we have microplastics in our bodies and laughed. But when I actually observed a real piece of microplastic in the food which is eaten by billions of people every single day, it made me realize that we are taking the most important things of our lives for granted only because we are not able to see them with our own eyes. Ever since, I've seen it with my own eyes
