Observing the potato flesh through the foldscope at 50x, 140x and 340x!
Preparing the slide: A small piece of potato flesh was taken. Then it was placed on the slide and mashed. then, the remaining piece was removed from the slide so that some remains of the cells were left to ensure that it was thin enough for light to pass easily. Then, cello tape was applied on it.
Preparing to observe: this temporary mount of potato flesh was taken and put in the foldscope after opening the latch of the foldscope. Then, I put the 50x, 140x and 340x lenses one-by-one and then observed the samples.

Observations: i) 50x: almost the entire sample can be seen. Empty areas and cells can be seen in the form of very small non-resolvable dots. ii) 140x: the cells now appear to be larger in size. However, because the debris was removed during sampling, some areas are empty and can be seen in the image. iii) 340x: we can now see very small pieces clearly. The group of cells can be seen properly.
