While visiting my hometown of Springdale NL, I collected a sample of water from a small stream, where, among other observations mentioned in other posts, I observed an algae unlike any I'd seen in my studies, or personal adventures. The algae appeared to form lovely circular colonies from elongated, slim individual cells.

Observations were made at 140x magnification with additional digital zoom.
