This is a 340x image of a potato skin along which contains the individual cells and fibres. I took this during exploring the microcosm course in LGP 26. It took a while to get the focus right but it looked amazing after finishing it.
At first, getting the right field which showed the membrane, the part where I had torn the peel off, and the layers that are there in the cells. You can see that there are a few more cells beneath it and you can also see the fibers that are holding this structure together. This helped me answer a lot of questions that I had about vegetable skin structure, becuase it was totally different from ours. I had wished to see some more inside of the cells, though.
