Adventures In Microscopy: Egyptian Sand!
A friend of mine recently traveled to Egypt and brought me back a tiny vial of sand to explore with my Foldscope!
This was from a quick peek with my Foldscope 2.0. Don’t they look like asteroids zooming through space?! I captured the images using the 50X, 140X, and 340X lenses.
I also played around with some polarizing filters (you can see the color changes in the video as I rotate the filter!). (This was recorded using the 50X magnification lens)
This is a sample I will be exploring in more depth in the coming months!
