 The first picture shows an anther of a purple flower, specifically one from the flower that hasn’t bloomed in the bottom picture. It shows the tip of the anther as well as specks of pollen. The sample was collected by plucking one of the unbloomed flowers behind Hameetman Center and opening it to find its anthers on May 27th, 2:55 pm.

 The top picture shows a leaf from the tree in between Powell and Keck Lab shown above. It primarily shows a cell wall enclosing green colored organelles. The sample was collected by plucking a leaf on May 27th, 2:57 pm.
