The images show a fungi mold structure growing on strawberries, under direct and scattered light (generated using a mobile-phone flashlight). The sample was obtained from a culture growing organically on refrigerated berries inside Ricketts House residence at Caltech’s campus (1200 East California Boulevard, Pasadena, CA) around 11:00 pm local time (CA) on May 30th, 2019. The mold was extracted using a cotton swab. Note the greenish irregular structure of the mold.
