 The first black and white images, which seem more like images of the moon, are actually low-power images of the surface of a Lingzhi mushroom bud. I look forward to capturing them in higher power next time and for following the Lingzhi mushroom throughout its maturation process. The second set of green images are those from the underside of a spiny weed’s leaf that I found while hiking the Dish. The leaf had a fuzzy surface which produced fascinating textures upon high-power magnification.


 Focusing the Foldscope proved to be a challenge, and I hope to become better at it next time!
