An interaction with a group of 40 teachers of Kendriya Vidyalayas was organized at GGDSD College, Chandigarh, as part of In-service course organized by (Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Zonal Institute of Education & Training ,Chandigarh), It was outcome of combined efforts of training associate (Biology)-KVSZIET , Mr. S. P Singh and team foldscope@ GGDSD.
Participating Teachers were from different states of India i.e, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. They were made aware about foldscope. Its assembly and practical utility was demonstrated The teachers were keenly interested in this new class room tool.

Demonstration of Foldscope Some of the slides which this group observed were :

Human hair
They observed hair samples and silk fibres from the corn cob.
A slide showing setae of earthworm, The bristle-like setae anchor the segments as theearthworms crawl .
Teachers were very excited to see its practical utility in the class room. Their main concern was how to procure foldscope for their own use for class room teaching.
