A mega national twinning up programe in connection with DBT sponsored Foldscope project has been held at Govt. H. S. and M. P. School, Kokrajhar, Assam on 20th and 21st Nov, 2018.Two partner non-NE institutions, namely Sri L. C. Kherde Jr. College, Amaravati, Maharashtra and Sabitribai Phule Pune University,Maharashtra joined the programe. Bongaigaon Railway H. S. School also participated in it.
Director of Education, BTC, Kokrajhar inaugurated the programe by lighting the lamp. Along with the Education Director, Inspector of Schools, KDC, Kokrajhar delivered their speeches on the use and importance of Foldscope in present day context. Dr. Dipalee Malkhede,Deptt.of Chemistry, Sabitribai Phule pune University graced the programe. Dr. Sandeep Das, HOD, Deptt. of Bio-technology, Bodoland University delivered his valuable speech in the inaugural and velidictory session.
Dr. Raju Das, co-ordinator, Foldscope Team KGHSMP School, Kokrajhar explained the works done with Foldscope in the region by his team. Field visit to Deeplai Beel, an IBA and aquatic habitat , Chirang Reserve Forest and Kokrajhar Tea Estate was carried out where foldscoping was done with local and participating students and teachers from Kokrajhar ,Maharashtra and Bongaigaon under the guidance of Goutam Dev Sarma, Dr. Raju Das and Jahar Bhowmick.

All participants were benifitted by the programe as was explained in feed-back session.
It is a remarkable programe in our region.
