I just returned from the gulf of Napoli working with an incredible group of collaborators to explore usage of new class of tools for measuring and understanding carbon flux in the ocean - ways the ocean naturally sequesters carbon.

Along the science - sometimes surprises surface. Here are salps that showed up in our CTD - uninvited. So we looked at one under the foldscope..
