La manzanilla es una planta parecida a las margaritas que se utiliza sobre todo con fines medicinales y terapéuticos.Sus flores son muy vistosas, alrededor de la cabezuela tienen pétalos en forma de lengüeta de color blanco. La cabezuela, aunque tiene el aspecto de una flor, es en realidad una inflorescencia.
Para este post observé justamente la inflorescencia, la cual estaba formada por pequeñas flores sésiles, que al manipular, se caen como pétalos. En la figura 1 se observan los diminutos granos de polen, amarillentos y con forma estrellada. También las inflorescencias de color amarillo y en forma de tubos.
