After successfully spying on onion cells, it was time to investigate a potato peel. What I expected to see was plant tissue. What I actually saw looked suspiciously like a puppy staring back at me.
At 50X magnification: The potato peel was easy to observe and photograph. The first thing that caught my attention was a pattern that resembled a puppy's face. The tissue appeared brownish in colour and contained many circular cells. The overall structure was clear, making this magnification the easiest to work with.

At 140X magnification: The cells became much more detailed. I noticed that they were closely packed and surrounded by thick cell walls. Instead of looking perfectly round, many of the cells appeared pentagonal or polygonal in shape. A particularly exciting discovery was a tiny heart-shaped air bubble in the bottom-right corner. It was probably not trying to send me a message, but you never know :#

At 340X magnification: The cells appeared much larger and filled most of the field of view. We couldn't see the nucleus as there wasn't one. The image mainly showed the cell walls and internal structures, while focusing became more difficult.

In conclusion, the potato peel slide turned out to be surprisingly entertaining. From a mysterious puppy face at 50X, to a heart-shaped air bubble at 140X, to giant cell structures at 340X, every magnification revealed something new.
