I often used to sit for hours on railway station waiting for train and the most amazing thing which I saw on stations was never ending crowd. whatever is the time, many people are there at kalyan station waiting for trains.
Quite often I used to see people drinking the waters available at water tanks on the railway station. generally these are those people who cannot afford to buy packed mineral water.
the question was is the water is safe. Even-though the utmost care is taken by authorities to clean these tanks, still it happens once or twice in a year, is it going to make water safe.
Keeping this question in mind I always wanted to analyze the water, and with foldscope i did the same.
Ttook water from one of the tank and made a preparation in cavity slides
and Here is the observation in the video
Unidentified worm in water at railway station Definitely the worm look phenomenal under foldscope still the question is are we giving safe water to community.
Lot of Efforts has been taken by the government regarding distribution of safe water, still the problem is persistent.
With foldscope its possible to evaluate the water quality at all railway stations.
Therefore I would like to make appeal to all those working with foldscope, please evaluate the quality of water, for sake of poor people and bring this point to officials so that they can take necessary action.
