  This is the wing of a fly taken from turtle pond on Caltech’s campus around 4pm on May 31st.  The fly itself had already passed on.  It was found on the edge of a pond where turtles can be found sitting.  You can see the branching structure of the wing and the transparency of the  wing itself.
