I am a faculty at Stanford and run the Prakash Lab at Department of Bioengineering at Stanford University. Foldscope community is at the heart of our Frugal Science movement - and I can not tell you how proud I am of this community and grassroots movement. As we all join forces with Foldscope; it’s upon all of us to share/teach and learn from each other – so it’s very crucial to post your findings visible to the community. Also, since Foldscope is a universal tool that all of us have access to – it is simple to replicate other people’s findings.
We are all busy; and sometimes making a “quick” post to share findings with Foldscope community is the best way to get thoughts/threads/data out to the community. Being able to do this from your smart phone which already has all the data/videos/images you took with your Foldscope is an easy solution.
Here I share my quick work through for how I make Foldscope posts using WordPress app on my iPhone. This is mostly self explanatory.
1) download WordPress app.
2) Setup your microcosmos WordPress account first through a web browser. Start the app on your phone – you will be prompted to login into your WordPress account.
3) link your app to the microcosmos website. Choose the link with the “tick” sign.
3) you are ready to post. The entire website should show up in your WordPress app..
5) create on “write” icon and start writing.
Cheers
Manu
Ps: I also use some simple apps to make photo edits etc. including “Enlight”
