Panskura Banamali College, Prof.(Dr.) Nandan Bhattacharyya Organized a workshop on 8th September 2018 sponsored by Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India.
The main objective of the workshop was to demonstrate the assembling and use of foldscope among secondary and higher secondary students.
Total seventy numbers of students were participated in this workshop from seven different schools along with teachers. After demonstrating of foldscope assembling, students prepared slides themselves and examined by foldscope as well as by conventional light microscope. This workshop focus on assembling of foldscope, demonstration of slide preparation and observation, Installation of a smartphone to take a snap.
The students were extremely fascinated by the Foldscope, which was totally new to them. They compare traditional Microscope with Foldscope and found a clear and detail view of the sample and we found a positive feedback from them.
