Science Teachers from the School of Baramati (State Board, Central Board of Secondary Education, and Indian Certificate of Secondary Education ) were invited for the one day workshop on Foldscope – assembly and applications. Twenty applicants were grouped in four teams and given the task for assembling the Foldscope. The workshop was presided and guided by Dr. Bharat Shinde, Principal VPASCC. An introductory lecture on basics of Microscopy was delivered by Dr. Mahesh Vedpathak (Co-PI) followed by introduction to foldscope, assembly and use by Dr. Tushar Borse (PI).
All the participants actively participated for the assembly exercise. The participants also prepared their own slides and observed it by viewing it under the Foldscope they have assembled. The enthusiasm among the participants was huge and they have demanded for two more days workshops for themselves and for the students at their Schools.
