Nyctanthes plant has quadrangular stem bearing simple leaves that are ovate in shape with serrated margins. The surface is rough and glabrous.
2 types of hairs – Unicellular trichomes and glandular hairs situated in slight depressions in leaves were noticed in the epidermal peel. Anomocytic stomata were also clearly visible under foldscope.
